John B. Warters

John Warters is the President of Photo Reflections Inc., celebrating 38 years in Newport News, VA. He is recognized throughout Virginia as one of the leaders in his profession. He has served the Virginia Professional Photographers Association in many capacities, including President, Chairman of the Board and Convention Chair.
Since joining the VPPA John has earned the Associate of photography and the Fellow of Photography degrees. In addition, he has been awarded the Certified Professional Photographer degree, the Master of Photography degree and the Photographic Craftsman degree from the Professional Photographers of America. John has also recieved the Govenor’s award, the Virginia Award, The SEPPA Award and the National Award for service to the photographic community.
John has earned four Kodak Gallery Awards and in 1995 was awarded the Kodak Gallery “Elite” (the first photographer in the state to ever receive it.) This “Elite” honor is presented to the top four prints out of twenty thousand images entered throughout the nation.
Portraits created by John have a depth of personal warmth, spontaneity and refined elegance. His extraordinary ability to see and bring out the unique qualities that make each person distinctive stems from a remarkably perceptive eye, excellent professional training and years of experience perfecting his art.
